Beautiful Rugged Coasline
The Garden Route is a 300-kilometer stretch of South Africa’s south-western coast stretching from Mossel Bay (many say that Mossel Bay is not part of the Jardin Route because it is positioned behind what locals call the “Tree Curtain” in the Western Cape to the Storm River in the Eastern Cape).
The name comes from the verdant and ecologically diverse vegetation found here and the numerous lagoons and lakes scattered along the coast.
The numerous mountains near the coastline littered with beaches and bays, and brightly colored wildflowers are a delight to the eye and perfect for photography.
Winding trails are followed by hikers, the forests invite for long leisurely walks. A wide range of leisure options, spectacular scenery and a mild climate ensure an unforgettable vacation experience when visiting the Garden Route in South Africa.
